Cagayan de Oro City is best known as an outdoor adventure destination. It is also a growing commercial destination in the Northern Mindanao. Two hours away from my hometown, Cagayan de Oro is the go-to-city for food, and city scene that one could not find and experience back home. So it’s no surprise if you find me frequently visiting CDO for shopping, and for gastronomic adventure if not the outdoor adventures and fun it offers. Every 2 hour travel to Cagayan de Oro can get pretty exhausting when you’re doing some leg work on projects. Travelling from Iligan City to Davao City by bus always takes the energy out of me. On one of my trips to Davao City for a bloggers award, I went to Cagayan de Oro a bit early. I headed to Agora Bus Terminal and decided to get a few hours of sleep at WinMin Transient Inn. Last time I travelled via Agora Bus Terminal, I wondered if it was okay for a female traveller to get a room there for herself without testing the waters of decency, and security. And so I did.

It was a weekend of errands with my sister, Audrey, and I . We were doing some errands at Cagayan de Oro for our older sister Honeylou. Cagayan de Oro is the provincial capital of Region X to which Iligan City belongs. We needed to visit some provincial government offices, and we decided to look for abudget-friendly but clean accommodation to stay for the night. Okay. We actually did plan to bring clothes should we stay overnight. Iligan City is just 2 hours away but the thought of commuting after a long day was reason enough to stay.

Limunsudan Falls, the second highest waterfall in the Philippines is located at Sitio Limunsudan, Brgy. Rogongon, Iligan City. The barangay furthest from the city proper, and is the boundary to the other regions neighboring the Lone City of Iligan. It is one of the most powerful waterfalls I’ve seen, and know of to exist in the country — towering, and massive with a water drop of 870 feet. This two tiered waterfall gushing down massive volumes of water a majestic, only my opinion, ofcourse, as Ma. Cristina Falls. How can giants in the wild be as beautiful as this?
