Your food adventures should be as interesting as your adventures on the road, or in life – in general. Blackport is a travel-themed restaurant owned by travel bloggers Kirk Acebron (@kirkacebron) and Atty. Mark Julius Estur (@lakwatserongtsinelas). And it would definitely make your food adventures interesting. Blackport offers comfort food like regular pizza, burgers, and pasta but with a twist. Located at Scout Rallos, Quezon City, this makes a good addition to the restaurant scene near Tomas Morato Ave.
Josiah and I was first introduced to Blackport during one of a travel bloggers meet-up and birthday celebration of Gay Mitra (@pinaytraveljunkie) midyear of 2018. This was the first of the many frequent visits to the place during lazy nights dinner or when we drop after picking up our dose of pastries from the bakery, Purple Oven, next door.
Blackport is hard to miss at Scout Rallos with clean and dark solid coloured-exteriors and wide front window. The interiors are domineeringly dark in shade. It makes for a good backdrop of travel souvenirs, travel guide books, and framed travel images on its walls. It’s wooden tables makes the place invitingly warm and cozy for long conversations and catch-ups.
Our order staple are the black thin-crust Four Cheese Pizza, American Caesar Chicken, Blackport Carbonara for pasta or Biryani Rice.
Besides the good food, the restaurant is environmentally sound and serve their drinks with reusable metal straws from Ecoheroes.
Currently Blackport is adding a few more tables and some new addition to the space. This while continue to serve good food for its guests. If you’re looking for comfort food with unique twist from the your old favourites or acquaint yourself with new flavours from different parts of the world, this should definitely be on top of your list!
