Pansol at Calamba, Laguna is a known getaway destination for Metro Manila residents for a quick escape from the chaotic streets, and fast-paced routines of the Metro. Be it for family gatherings, barkada getaways, or office/team outings, Pansol has always been the go-to for the numerous private hot spring resorts. I got a message from a travel blogger friend who I meet on the road few years back inviting Josiah and I to join a group of travel bloggers for a weekend stay at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. Since I haven’t experience private hot spring resorts in Pansol, I just could not (thankfully) say no to it.
Casa Primera Hot Spring Resorts
Casa Primera Hot Spring Resorts is a 1-2H drive from Metro Manila private resort. It offers an all-inclusive rate for villa rental and the use of its amenities. The private resort is one of the top choice for weekend getaways and it is best that you make advance reservation online since they do not allow walk-ins.
We got there early in the evening and I was fairly surprised when we arrived at the Casa Primera Villa 4. For a known private hot springs villa, it looked well-maintained if not new. The villa was well lit in the evening and did not look sketchy as I feared most private resorts in Pansol would be. It overlooks the swimming pool and the parking space with most of the bedrooms located on the second floor. We were told that the villa can accommodate 45-50pax which is ideal for large family gatherings or office/team outings or events.
Pool & Deck Area
The water in the pool is 100% sourced from a hot spring with comfortable lukewarm temperature. They drain and fill up the pool for every villa booking/rental, ensuring clean pool water for you to swim in. The pool size took nearly the whole expanse of the front property and is well-secured from prying eyes. There is also kiddie pool that is within eye distance from the dining hall and a large swimming for adults. It also has spacious pool deck with lounge chairs and an accessible common shower and comfort room so you won’t have to run to your room should you need to shower off or use the toilet. The water is also not too hot to burn your skin off but enough to keep you warm for a night swim.
As expected the bedrooms are for sharing. These were large enough to accommodate a couple of queen sized beds with ample room space to spare. The rooms are definitely not cramped, for a shared room. It is clean and spacious with airconditioning and has its own television, storage spaces, a desk and comfort room as well. If you’re worried about sleeping in bunk beds, the bed frames are made of steel and customized for a sturdiness and easy top bunk access.
Dining Hall + Kitchen
The dining area has long tables with benches that can accommodate a large crowd. It overlooks the pool area so you can easily keep an eye on kids or not miss out on the fun. Each villa has its own kitchen where you can cook, and prepare your meals. It is only upon request, you can ask assistance from the staff to help you with food preparation. All villas have its own kitchen where you can cook or prepare your meals and guests can easily navigate from the swimming pool deck to the dining hall and the kitchen as well.
Entertainment & Kids Play Area
What I liked about Casa Primera was the entertainment areas designed to keep a large crowd entertained. Besides the swimming pool, there are billiard pool, table tennis, and a karaoke for people who can take a bit of rest from the swimming. There is a play area for kids as well which makes it ideal for young families.
Being fairly new to the Metro Manila life, it was my first time to ever experience private hot spring resorts at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. I was told that Casa Primera would spoil my future experiences in different resorts with its high standard of privacy and cleanliness. I did not so much mind that fact given Casa Primera has four villas to choose from and two new Bali-inspired additions called Casa Tropica Hot Spring Resorts is on the works.
- Casa Primera does not allow walk-in guests or request for villa tour in respect to the privacy of their guests
- They do have WIFI but internet speed can get slow due to multiple usage in your group
- The staff can only assist but can not, unless requested, help you with food preparation
- There is a sari-sari store in outside of the villa if you need chips or whatnots
