How To Get To Siargao Island

Siargao island is off the northeastern side of Mindanao isolated along with the islets surrounding it. It is accessible via air and sea.

Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Sky Jet have regular commercial flights from Manila and Cebu to Sayak Airport at Siargao. The airport runway limits the aircrafts it can cater thus only small aircraft fly in and out of the airport and limited travellers every flight. It is also accessible via sea with a ferry from Surigao City in Mindanao to Siargao Island. You can fly in to Cagayan de Oro or Davao City and take a bus bound for Surigao City to take the ferry or an outrigger boat (bangka).

The best time to travel is depending on the activities you want to do at Siargao Island. If you want to beach bum and enjoy the beach and the sun, it would be wise to visit Siargao during the summer season – during April to June.
